I. GEOGRAPHICAL FEATURES OF LOCAL COMMUNITY KNEZ MISLAV
The local community Knez Mislav, which is on the very south of ex-commune Medvescak, has a population of about 5200.
The dominant function of our local community is residential, however here are also located 4 secondary schools.
Over 2,000 young people come on daily basis to our local community either because they are attending schools, or are visiting cafes and grocery shops.
Dominant socio-economic activities are: catering trade (hotel “Sheraton” and 9 cafes), trade (8 grocery stores and 19 specialised shops), banking (Privredna bank), health service (first-aid station and pharmacy), cultural activities (the Ministry of Culture, gallery) and other (Red Cross, photo studio…).
