Gymnast Bogdan Orzată is Andreea Răducan’s boyfriend

Last I heard, Andreea didn’t have a boyfriend. She just explained she doesn’t have time for a private life a few months ago. I would take the article and any information contained herein with a grain of salt.

Gazeta Sporturilor uncovered Andreea Răducan’s big secret. Although the former gymnast has tried to keep the identity of her boyfriend -the one everyone’s been talking about lately- hidden, our newspaper has found out the mystery boyfriend is one of the members of the men’s gymnastics team, 20 year-old Bogdan Orzată, none other than Rares’ brother. Rares is a former European vice-champions (1995) who lives in Canada now. Andreea didn’t confirm or deny the news and Bogdan said with a laugh that “Andreea doesn’t like to talk about this. It’s true that we talk on the phone, but I couldn’t tell you more than that.”

”Princess” Andreea Răducan has been in love for a few months. The girl who’s been likened to a real-life doll has tried to hide her first love as much as possible. A few days ago, though a first name was revealed -- Bogdan. It‘s been said the boy is originally from Timisoara and he is one year older than Andreea. Following the lead, Gazeta managed to exclusively find the identity of the mysterious character that managed to "steal” the heart of the great champion. Good guy Bogdan Orzată, a member of the Romanian men’s gymnastics team, is the one who’s been around Andrea a lot.

It seems the relationship between Andreea and Bogdan started at the end of last year. The two of them talked for months, sending each other long love letters. It’s been said their relationship got more and more serious during the winter Holidays, when Andreea and her friend spend Christmas in her native Bîrlad. Born in Brasov, Bogdan is considered one of the most talented gymnasts on the national team.

Andreea’s boyfriend has to work hard at every training session he has in order to live up to head coach Dan Grecu’s expectations. At only 19 (Andreea) and 20 (Bogdan), the two of them have shown a maturity far beyond their years. Weighing her words, especially in front of journalists, Andreea proved the be a well-balanced person in everything she achieved until now. When asked about her future boyfriend, all she would say was that she wants a nice, communicative guy, who should never be in a mad mood. “I want him to be cheerful and more importantly to know what he wants to do in life.” Knowing the former gymnast as well as we do, we don’t doubt she made the right choice.

Bogdan Orzată is Rares’ younger brother. 25-year old Rares competed at the Sydney Olympics and won a silver medal on vault at the 1995 Europeans to go along with a bronze medal on parallel bars. Rares now lives in Montreal where he works for a famous circus troupe and it’s been said he was very popular with the girls, especially the gymnasts on the national team. Corina Ungureanu is among those rumored to have fallen "victim” to his charm.
