| A Message From Our President....... The fires of war burn across our land. We are placed between the rock of yankee oppression and the anvil of Freedom. The coming days will determine whether the CSA becomes cold hard steel or useless lumps of iron. The future, if we are to have one, will require strong leadership, a steel will and the ability to make tough decisions. I have a vision of what the CSA can be, and what it will take to achieve that vision, and so I come before you today and ask for your support in my bid for the office of President of the Confederate States of America. My platform will coincide with that of my party, the Heartland Party. (http://home.earthlink.net/~georgia1861/heartland.html) My administration will give particular emphasis to training and developing new talent, those for whom this is their first or second CWOL, who have never had high command. We will identify the most talented of our young officers and place them in positions of high responsibility, but within a mentoring system of experienced officers so that these new officers can excel and learn. I believe this unique combination of new ideas and old experience will be the key to victory. Circumstances are such that we must rely totally on our Armies for victory this year. We cannot depend on naval victories or diplomatic endeavors to assist us. This is going to be an Army brawl my friend, like it was in the early days of CWOL, and it is towards that end that my planning has been focused. My administration will be an inclusive one. My Vice President will be appointed by me and will be either an independent or member of a minority party, preferably a suitable newer player of talent who wants to learn the ropes of leadership and command. My advisory council will similarly be drawn from across the CSA, the best we can find. |

| Since you’ve read this far, you deserve to know a bit about me. I have been involved in 5 of the 6 previous CWOLS, have served on both sides, but am by birth and nature a Southerner. I have been everything from a Colonel to Sec War. In the real world I am married, and have 3 teenagers and a younger one who thinks he's a teen. I was a network administrator, now going to school for a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology. My hobbies and community service include flying and being a licensed amateur radio operator. My license allows me to chase storms as a weather spotter and provide supplemental communications skills in times of emergency. That is all I have at this moment. | And Our Governor...................... Ladies and Gentlemen of Kentucky: I speak to you tonight elated to have been chosen by you to be your states next Governor. However, it is with a sad heart that I must begin my tenure in office preparing for the defense of the state. At this very moment our Northern neighbors are preparing troops to invade the Sovereign Soil of Kentucky. They are Hell Bent on doing nothing more than bringing us back under the tyrants boot. Like our founding fathers we the citizens of this state are charged with protecting the Government of the people. Our Republic has ceased to exist in the North ¦ Let is never die in the South! I would like to inform you that we are at this very moment preparing for the defense of the state. Our men are being asked to volunteer and our troops are mustering to protect our state. My pledge to you is Kentucky first, and then we will help our sister states. We will defend our homes and hearths first ¦ No, Yankee Invader will find quarter here¦ May God have mercy on them, because we will not. (Bowing his tired old head) May the Grace and Providence of Almighty God shine down upon us and keep us safe through the coming fray.
