straightedge.... hahaha. Good stuff. I am tryin to think of my life if I wasn't straight-edge. Well, it would be really screwed up. I would have much fewer brain cells at the moment, that is for sure. But uhh, seriously. I live in Girard, and I am straightedge. Of course I have had my fair share of temptations, but I am trying not to stumble. Ya know. In the past i have smoked. just ciggarettes, but that is still no straightedge. but I began to think, and talk to people about it, and i stopped. now i live by the X and i will die by the X. I am one of those more devoted ones, one of those who decides to mark oneself with the X to let it show that i am anti-drug, anti-alcohol, and anti-fornication. I am not vegan however. i love my meat products. they just taste so good. Anyways.... with the whole straightedge thing, how adults feel it is some sort of gang to watch out for, that just xxxxes me off. It's not cool at all. I hear that one of the "terrorist" groups they will be lookin out for at the olympic games this year are the "straightedgers"... haha, o brother. what losers. Straightedge isn't a gang. Sure, a lot of times the straightedge only associate themselves with other straightedge. but that is cuz they want to stay away from the temptations of what's out there. They say that u can identify them by the "X". sure u can, but once again, that is only to show that they are serious. There are many Straightedge kids that don't wear the X. I bet half of those news people are straightedge, they just aren't aware of it. ya know what i mean? Straightedge is a belief, kinda like Christianity. with Christianity, u choose to live morally and choose God. With Straightedge, u choose to live clean and stay that way. a choice and a belief. that is all it is. people really shouldn't get carried away by that. i really hate media sometimes, these stupid news reporters that bull-crap all day long about stuff they know nothing about. seriously though. I will hold onto this X no matter what any adults say. I just hope that it will never be a crime to be straight-edge (wearing the X). whatever though. I am signin out.
