Apparently the reason why Kotomaru is always late; Kotomaru's Secret Power is a technique only used by Kotomaru.
When his secret power is unleashed, Kotomaru becomes stronger than all of the other fighters, with the exception of Galati(ca)maru and Kotobarusan-sama. The last time Kotomaru used this technique, he destroyed a whole kitchen - apparently witnessed by Guy.
