| Diary June 30th 2004 Hi all I woke up last night and thought it might be a good idea to start keeping a diary of past news in GND life. So anyways better late than never! It is now 2004 we did start in 2002, and the site was started up in 2003. Rather than talk to much about how it all began because as it goes, its the usual story. We love music so we got a band together had a few people changes on the way, and now here we are here! 2004. The start of this year consisted of our new members joining us! Tim Rozemulder on guitar, Nick Cheek on drums, Dan on bass and still Jon and I doing our thing! Also I (Deb) headed to New York City for the month of April and showed them a thing or two about the female Rock Chick's here is OZ! I was joined by a few lovley Yankie boys! The Bletterman Brothers on Bass and Drums also Tony Marrone on Percussion!!! It was the trip of a lifetime! Now its June, we have a new bass person, its a girl her name is Jen Sparkes and she's AWESOME!! SOOOOOOOOOO in closing! The Girlnextdoor' sound has changed in the past 2 years and I believe its better than ever!!!! There you have it, a breif look back at the past and now onto the future of GND! We will keep this section up to date from now on! July 1st 2004 Deb here.. Just got word from Bern the manager of 16dd, the band in Sydney who we are doing the gig with. The show is a BIG go ahead and the we will be having a theme. KINKY WEDDING NIGHT!! Yeah... How the mind wanders with ideas for this one! SOOOOOOO if you can organsie time off or you are already in Sydney I hope you can come along and party with us!! July 8th 2004 Well BIG news last night Channel 31 were there to tape the show may be aired tom night from 11.30pm. TUNE IN!!! Also I was going for the job of a presenter for this new show Acoustica Noise TV and I got it! So you will regulary see my mug on the TV which will be every Fri from 11.30pm! Its a great idea aimed at showing off all the amazing local talent here in Melbourne, Im sooo happy I will get to be a part of it! Tom nights show we are on, is just a preview of more to come! Also the guys from Channel 31 loved the music of GND so much they have asked us to come into the station and do an Unplugged show of our own! Ill fill you in when I know more!! Yeahhh and in closing Jen did a great job last night.. Aug 3rd 2004 Hi guys well well well, from the Noise TV experience some exciting news will be coming soon.... Seems a new TV show all its own is being developed as we speak to help out Oz local talent everywhere. It's going to be a little more twisted than the norm.. So with the help of Debra's friends "On The Couch" will be here soon. In other news we are happy to welcome our new Drummer Boy Rohan. He is BLOODY AWESOME to say the least and is a sure bet on rocking it out for all of us come Sept.. Aug 24th Hi all had some bad news today we will not be doing Sydney!! :( For reasons beyound our control. But no fear Girls Night Out VOL 1 will be on Sept 15th. So looking forward to that! On the Couch will start shooting this week and go to air mid Sept. I have been doing alot of work behind the scenes on this show, it is now my other baby! Sept 27th... Hi all well well there is alot going at the moment to much to speak of right now I'll fill you in when I know more...ssshhhh We have decided to cancel gigs for the year and work on new songs and a new Ep. Needed to start a fresh! I now have a coolio new crew behind me and wanted to make Girlnextdoor' more about all of us! But keep your eyes glued to this page may do a suprise gig sometime soon! mmmm...What else? On the Couch is going great guns the first show aired Friday 17th of Sept at 11.30pm on Channel 31's Noise TV.. How exciting my little project on screen how proud I am! Check the link for when and who is on! Anyways once again thanks for sticking with us guys & girls ohhh we also have photos of all the new gang coming soon too! :) Nov 11th Incase you have forgotten today is Rememberance Day people, so take a min to think about what that means! Anyway's all is well in our world we will be coming to you soon BIGGER then before and some new tunes to boot! And maybe a new member of the GND family? You will see soon enough so stay tuned to this station. In other news... On the Couch is going well plodding along. Now for all those out there who have seen it and think hang on a min who is this Stephanie character??? Its my evil twin - yes thats right I have a twin! Oh my god I hear you say twice the trouble, I say twice the FUN.! Im behind the scenes on the show playing Producer. Got'ss to go see you all very soon... Nov 29th First things first, we are re-launching on DEC 18th its a big night we will be joined by friends Emerald Sea, Kathmatics and 13 Tears. We have a new Lead guitarist and his name is Mr Tim Rand, the boy ROCKS!!! AND BIG BIG NEWS we have changed from GND to "THE LOVERS"... Felt like now we have a new line up we needed a complete change. So there you have it Gig coming up, new Guitarist and a new name. It's been a busy busy time for us see you at the show! Dont forget check out my evil twin Stephanie on Noise TV's "OTC" Thurs at 9pm and Fridays at 11.30pm..vfvfff Jan 18th 2005 Hi guys first entry for the year so lets see???? hmmm Well first things frist we are playing a show next week (check gig guide) We will be down our drummer boy but a good friend Corey who drums for Dukes Of Windsor and an AWESOME drummer has come to our rescue to ensure we dont miss this great gig with 72 Blues.. We have the rest of the new photos and a new website only days away! hehehehe xx Feb 10th Hi all two days till our big date with the Dollsquad babes for the release of their latest EP. It's going to be a HUGE night at Ding Dongs in the city so come on down and check out Girls In the Garage II... Also we ourselves will be working on an EP, which we hope to have out in April so keep a watch on this space for that! This is going to be a big year all so I hope to see you down at one of the gigs soon!!! cheers The LOVERS April 8th 2005 Just writing in here for the sake of it really! Lets see by the end of this years plan will be The Lovers will have song on rotation and a Mini Album out! And a tour would be nice even if its Perth or Sydney, it will be alot of fun to hit the road! What else mmm??? I dont know world peace would be good too while we are at it!!! Hope everyone is living life to its full xxx DEB July 1st Well a new finalcial year and new beginings for The Lovers.. We have a new boy for you all to meet Dennis our new guitarist!!! YEAHHHHH Its should be a big month with our Duke gigs and the launch of DEBS show ON TNE COUCH..... Sept 1st 2005 Ok Ok lets see well you may know we are about to record a Ep.... Very exciting after all this time and change in members The Lovers is final sorted, and ready for airplay and all that jazz.... YAYYYYYYYY "If you loved me" will be the first release of the Ep.... Soooo keep you eyes glued to this page more to come.. Oct 5th 2005 Well as said the Ep is well on it way! Well demo really more so! But thats happening and also my cousin in New York has been playing the stuff I did over there last year for me on her college radio station. So thats cool as!! I hope to take The Lovers back to NYC next year so lets all pray for a lotto win or a record deal! hahaha both would be best! Lets see that about it really Dennis is going very very well and once this recording is done we plan on working on new songs! The songs we decided to put on this Ep will be revealed soon.
