| Pride Goes Before Fall!! Read Proverbs 16:18-19 Have you ever bragged about something???? Like, say your REALLY good at bastetball and your totally flaunting your skills about how you made 20 baskets in the last game you played. The team has YOU to thank for the upcoming basketball championship that your team finally made it to! ANd ALL because of YOU!!!! YOU, YOU, and more YOU! Whether it's basketball, soccer, or swimming, I bet we all have done that or at least know someone who has!!! How about this scene?......... You are totally carrying the whole team's weight on your shoulders. You told EVERYONE how good you are at basketball, and now everyone is expecting a BIG show from you. You go for what's an impossible to miss shot... and totally miss the basket! What's worse is the basketball just hit the referee in the head!! Ouch!! Everyone now thinks YOU stink at basketball...including the referee. Now who's the big shot???............ Have you ever heard the saying "Pride goes before fall"? Well, that old "wives tale" actually has some truth to it!! Yup. Read Proverbs 16:18-19... doesn't sound like that much of a wives tale anymore, does it??? I didn't think so!
