Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere

Swaps are a fun part of a Girl Scouts Life.  They are little "whatever's" made by another Girl Scout, Leaders, friends, pen-pals, etc. and are traded at events, camp, by mail, swap meets etc.  Swaps can be quick simple little crafts or elaborate little items that take lots time to make.  Here are some fun samples as well as some links to get more information on SWAPS.  This page may take a minute or two to load.

This little green angel was made by simply tying a ribbon into a bow, placing a little angel charm on it and a pin on the back.
This butterfly was made using some kind of plastic "o" that you melt in the oven.  You can find them at Michaels or Hobby Lobby.

This cute little ghost was made by painting a popsicle stick white, gluing a painted heart to it and putting a pin on the back,

This is a beadie Gecko you can find lots of beadie patterns at www.makingfriends.com.

These are simply to plastic eyes glued to a pin back - easy enough?  Cute too! :0)

This little "petal person" was made by painting a wooden circle, gluing on two eyes, part of a flower and putting a pin on the back.

This is of course, aplha beads glued to a wooden painted triangle with a pin on the back.

This watch was made using a beadie pattern but using seed beads and dental floss for lacing.

This cute little redhead is a clothespin, toothpics and embroidry thred.
The little VW Bug was made out of craft foam, sharpies and glitter paint.

This little beadie girl was made using a pattern out of Pack-O-Fun.  It's a great magazine with lots of ideas.
This is a "very intricate" little camper girl.  She was given to me at a Leaders Weekend.  She is made out of a clothes pin, toothpicks, felt and moss.

This cute little flower was made out of modeling clay that is then baked in the oven.  I believe it even comes pre-colored?
This cute little bee is made out of pipe cleaners, goo-goo eyes and wings.

A peace sign made from a pipe cleaner.
This beadie was made out of safety pins and seed beads.  These patterns are fun to make and to do!

This little top hat is another pretty intricate swap.  It was made using a coke bottle top and a pog. It was painted, glittered and had a ribbon glues to it.  Then the cane and back were glued on.
This Ice cream swap is too cute.  It is a coke bottle top with a cotton ball and paint for the icing and the cherry.

Mr. Wiggles - made out of pipe cleaners and goo-goo eyes (although you can't see em!)
