Well our Initial Nut order has been placed and we are preparing for Nut Booth Sales.  The troops initial order was 215 cans of nuts, which is 20 cans better than last year.  We did have one more girl selling this year than last.  Congratulations to Miranda and Sara, who sold the most at  32 cans each, Great Job!.  The troop order will be ready for distribution at our meeting on Nov. 3rd, so please plan on picking up your nuts when you drop your daughter off or when you pick her up.  We would like to thank Sharon (Amanda's Mom) and Kim (Miranda's Mom) for all of their help with the Fall Product Sale and for volunteering to be our Chairs, we could not have done it without them!  THANKS!   We will be doing four Booth sales at various locations throughout Milpitas.  Magazine sales continue through the month of November, so please continue to sell those subscriptions or renewals.  Remember they make great Holiday gifts!

The Junior girls earned their Drawing & Painting badge and the Brownies have one more requirement to complete to earn their Puppets, Dolls and Plays Try-it in November.

We had our annual Halloween party with costumes.  We bobbed for donuts and marshmallows that were hung from strings, decorated cookies and pumpkins and had a lot of FUN!

We will have our Rededication/Investiture Ceremony on Monday Nov. 17th from 7:55 pm to 8:10 pm. This is the ceremony in which first year girls Invest themselves in Girl Scouts for one year and the returning Girl Scouts Rededicate themselves to Girl Scouting for another year.   The parents are invited to attend at 7:55 pm.  Each of your daughters will have a small part in the ceremony.  We will begin to practice the ceremony at our first meeting in November and will do a dry run on November 17th prior to the actual ceremony.

In November the Juniors will begin working on their Camera Shots badge while the Brownies will begin their Science Wonders Try-it.

There will be a Holiday Card for Soldiers sorting and packaging event on Thursday November 20th at 6:30 pm, where we hold our meetings.  The girls all said they would like to participate.  We will be sorting and packaging the holiday cards that are being made by the entire Girl Scouts of Northern California, so we are expecting thousands of cards.  We will also be assembling goodie bags.  Please let Lisa know if your daughter is
available or not that evening.
