GIT soars high for SY 2007-2008
        School Year 2007-2008 is quite challenging for Guevarra Institute of Technology for various reasons. The first challenge is the implementation of the Business Plan and School Improvement Plan prepared by the School President since February 2007. GIT is privileged enough to be a recepient of an scholarship grant extended by Philippine Australian Human Resource Development Facility  through its Effective Enterprise-based School Management Training  . The first component of the training was in Davao City last February , 2007. The second one was the international bench marking in Sydney, Australia on Feb 26 - March 3, 2007. The third component in which the business and school improvement planning were done in Davao City and Cagayan de Oro City, respectively.

             The second milestone of the institution is the consortium between Guevarra Institute of Technology and Mindanao Polytechnic State College . The consortium authorizes GIT to operate degree programs more specifically in BS Information Technology, BS Automechanical Technology, Bachelor in Elementary Education major in Special Education and Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Livelihood and Technology Education. This indeed is a challenging task of GIT as it embarks into producing professionals in those areas of competence.

The third remarkable undertaking of GIT is its partnership with Joji Ilagan Bian E-Academy based in Davao City to offer 100 Hours Call Center Finishing Course and English Proficiency Lessons.The PGMA Scholarship  coupons will enable grantees to avail the training at the cost of the government. A special employment scheme is prepared for qualified graduates of this course since JIB e-academy is one of the leading provider of call center agents in Mindanao. Indeed , the partnership will strengthen GIT in its networking  undertakings.

      The school now is in full blast of preparations as the opening of classes is approaching . Physical preparations are currently in place to cater the educational needs of the students.

        Beginning this school year, the School President  has an executive assistant , Miss Rovelyn Lungay who will also act as the Industry Coordinator that will interface GIT students with various industries.

        The college department will be headed by Miss Ricsan Mae P. Guevarra who finished her BS Info Tech degree from MPSC, Cagayan de Oro City. Her expertise in programming and managerial skills will surely pave way for the ultimate upsurge of the college department in the days ahead. The school website will be enhanced as the new IT mentors will converge themselves into making an interactive site of the school.
