**SPREADING THE WORD** We need your help getting the word out about our website. Although we are now in the process of being linked from various websites (including the school district website eventually) we still realize that a great deal of alumni and current student-athletes do not know about the site. Encourage your friends, family, teammates, fellow alumni and even competitors to register for our messageboard so they can keep in touch with the programs successes! We would also like to see more alumni on our "Alumni Directory". But we can't do it without your help.
**ALUMNI RACE** In case you haven't already heard, we will be introducing our inaugural Alumni Race at this years Invitational, September 20th. Race information is already available online including a print-able registration form. Just click on the links provided on the main page. The race will follow the final high school race and run over the varsity 2.7 mile course. Get your team together with fellow alumni! Three runners (male or female) from any graduation class are eligible for our team scoring competition. We also need your help spreading the word about this event, so tell your friends (18 & older only)!
**PHOTOS NEEDED** If you have photographs of Guilderland XC events, past, present, future we would like to include them on the website. Please contact Andrew Rickert at gland_xc@yahoo.com if you have some you'd like to send. We prefer that they be burned to a disc, rather than emailed. Thanks!!!
**INTERVIEW WITH BRIAN RHODES-DEVEY** We are proud to announce a new feature on the webpage, the "Ears What They Had to Say" interview column by Mike Poole ('97). Mike had the chance to sit down (via email) with Brian to discuss his new-found stardom after shattering the State 8th grade 1600m record. Read it now in our "News" section!!! We look forward to more interviews in the future with individuals who help make Guilderland XC "tick". We hope this email finds everyone well. Please keep in touch by visiting the site and adding to various discussions on the messageboard! There's always some interesting conversation going on!
Have a happy Father's day!! LONG LIVE THE LONG RED LINE!
Regards,
The Team
