Glenann Primary School is situated in Glenann, one of the nine Glens of Antrim. It is approximately 2 miles from Cushendall on the road to Ballymoney. It lies at the foot of the moss covered hills, beside Glenann River which flows from the top of Orra mountain, down the glen, past the school, out through Cushendall and into the open sea. Glenann means "The Glen of the Colt's foot." Glenann is famous for its legendary burial site of Ossian, son of Finn McCool.
