Oct 31st Halloween Show @ The Town Pump in Yuba City, CA - w/ Blatant Disregard & Void

Show report by Vyan

Halloween Night had finally arrived and we were ready to party 'til Johnny Depp does another horror movie - not counting "Nick of Time", which was horrible in a completely different way.

Tonight's festivities were hosted by our good friends in Blatant Disregard and Void, and featured a great many of our friends who had come out to Dave Walshes's House Party the previous week. Dave himself was there, as was "Silent Bob". But this evening we had a few new costumes to view, such as one guy in a full-on "Step-into -a-Slim Jim" outfit. Several "school girls" were in attendance, apparently someone forgot to card everyone. One gal was in an all white French maid outfit, and her opposite number was in attendance dressed as a sultry vampire in an all black latex floor length dress.

Holleey!!

Oh yeah, there was music too.

GliTCHeD was up first and we took the stage with a few extras - I wore a skull-face mask, while Jay (guitar) dressed in a sharp looking Goth outfit, Elias (bass) wore a pink plastic wig and Dave (lead guitar) wore an orange country jail jumpsuit. We rammed through our set pretty quickly as we set out to enjoy the evening.

Blatant Disregard came out second and yet again did not fail to tear it up! I swear, these guys are simply stupid good.

And capping the show off was Void, whose lead singer topped all the other "school girls" in attendance by going on stage completely in drag, as a thirteen-year-old girl.

"If he touches himself, does that mean he should be arrested?"

"I don't think they've written a law for that one, yet..."

I can't really put into words what it's like to see a 5' 10" "thirteen year-old" with braids, a miniskirt and slight belly pouch scream and growl like a T-Rex in heat.

Ok, maybe I just did.

Anyway - it was something, and a great way to finish up our shows for the year while we complete the construction of our own recording studio and begin pre-production for our upcoming CD.

We should have some new shows scheduled in the Spring of 2004.

Until then, Hasta La Rocka!
