It's a yarn thing

In January 2004 I had 3 weeks off work and no money
to go on holiday. At a loose end, I decided to learn
to knit so I could make myself a scarf. Armed with a
pair of 10mm needles and a ball of blue boucle, I was
indoctrinated into the world of the hobby knitter.
My mother says I'm finally starting to take after my
paternal grandmother, who is a crafter extraordinaire.
I have a bookshelf devoted to my yarn and craft
stash - Grandma Joan has entire rooms. As I've
discovered, knitting is addictive and challenging.
Until very recently, my repertoire consisted of scarves,
bags made from squares and some more scarves. Now I
can make slippers for adults and children too.

Gosh, I'm just so damn clever!
