Before
The
Big Bang
The Big Bang Theory is generally accepted as the Moment of Creation, even in some religious circles, but there are difficulties...
Now, when we talk of the Big Bang Theory, we are really talking about the " what happened just after the big bang" theory. The big bang was what caused what we now call the Universe, but scientists are as yet unable to tell us what was before the big bang, only that what we see is the result.
Certainly something happened to cause it but what? Especially as scientists would also have us believe that before the big bang there was nothing. Nothing? I am no Einstein, but even I know that we cannot get Something from Nothing! You can only get Something from Something! Scientists also expect us to accept that the Universe is expanding into "nothing". Sorry, if there is nothing there, the Universe cannot expand into it?
The question then is, what exactly was/is, that Something?
To begin with, we must get our heads around the fact that Something does not need to be a Physical definition.
Think. Our emotions are not Physical, Love is not Physical, (Lust might be!), our thoughts are not Physical, our consciousness is not Physical, but we all accept them as real and tenable. Therefore, the non-physical can be and is as real as the non-physical.
Soooo, where does this leave us?
Well, before I go on, try this exercise. It's good and it's fun!
Sit quietly, close your eyes and ask yourself inwardly, "I wonder what my next thought will be?", and just watch and wait for your next thought to show up.
Did it take a little time for a thought to arrive? When was the last time your mind was as free of pointless thoughts as that? Try to remember the experience you had of a thought-free mind.
You were conscious and yet you had no thoughts. In those few moments you experienced "Being" without the constraints of every day Life. No worries, no elation, just a sense of  being. What you experienced was the State of Things before the Big Bang! The state of consciousness that was in complete balance and oneness until a single thought came along which caused and created the yin/yang, positive/negative turmoil of the physical world we know and experience and call Reality. The state towards which we all strive to return, whether knowingly or not.
This striving to return to "source" or "balanced state" or "enlightenment" is that which is called Spirituality.
Everything we see, hear, touch, smell and taste are products of that One Consciousness becoming aware of itself through a single thought and thus "creating" the physical world we see around us today in order to make sense of it ( the thought). We are all part of the Whole and the Whole simultaneously.
So, what about the Universe expanding into Nothing? If you found the above confusing, you'll find this even more confusing!
OK, the Universe is a product of the One Consciousmess and as such is expanding into Space created by Consciousness. Space, the Universe, us and everything we experience then, is contained within the Consciousness. Ultimately, there is and can only be, one Everything.
