| A Bit About Me! |
| Well now, where to start? I've included a brief history of the site too! OK, 40 something, happily married for 23 years with three kids. Work in Social Work with a qualification in Psychology&Sociology. For those of you interested in such things my Astrological sign is Cancer. I am a 2nd Degree Reiki Practitioner and offer free Distance Reiki Treatments through ny website Al's Reiki. I have recently published my first poetry collection called "Odyssey" which is available through Lulu Press. The poems, like the content of this site are concerned with Spitiuality, Conflict, Nature and the environment. Influences Native American Thought,Thoth/Hermetic Thought, Buddhism, Psychology (esp. Carl Rogers), Celestine Prophecy and others too many to mention. Musical tastes are Classical, Gregorian Chants and Native American(Trad). Movies I prefer Sci-Fi and Comedies. Reading, I will be producing a list of recommended reading shortly! I will say this though, no fiction included bar the classics ie Thomas Hardy. Sports. Fav Gridiron, the Patriots. Baseball, Red Sox. Soccer, Partick Thistle(Scottish League). Current Projects. Working on my poetry and short stories as well as a work Qualification. The work qualification has been attained. Location. I live in Glasgow, Scotland. Fav Places. Waterfalls (anywhere), Aberfoyle, Mugdock Country Park, Campsie Hills, Arran, Ayrshire, Arrochar, Schoenstatt (Campsies), Helensburgh, Callander. (All Scotland) Lincolnshire and Yorkshire (England). Anywhere where there are Ancient Monuments/Standing Stones/Ruins etc loads of Energy to be had/experienced there! Recently I discovered the majesty of the Nerja Caves at Nerja in Spain. These have to be seen to be believed, absolutely magnificent! Dislikes. In Cyberspace: Websites that rely on graphics rather than content to impress and also those that play that interminable tinny music that grates on the senses, delays download time and also invades the music I am already listening to either on the Hi Fi or the PC so if you have a site and have to have music on it Please at least put a button in that allows me to turn it off? Thank You! Otherwise I just leave immediately. In "Real" Life: Voyeuristic TV, Soaps, Politics, All forms of Discrimination (even if it is called "positive", for every positive there is a negative), City life, Mindless Anything.
