CAR PARK MANAGING SYSTEMS

Car park managing systems must be suitable for integration in a variety of different environments. A company car park for instance places different demands on a system than a hotel car park, or inner-city parking areas. This is why Designa offers individually adaptable systems tailored to the customer's special wishes and requirements

The Entrance/Exit Terminals: they ensure that all vehicles entering and exiting the car park are registered, authorisations and tariffs queried, and tickets or chips issued and/or retrieved. Payment using credit cards or "electronic cash" is also possible.

The Pay Stations: allowing payment for Parking to be made using a variety of methods and currencies.

The Barriers: available in different designs and widths and with a choice of rigid or folding barrier arms.

The Control Terminals: consisting of a PC running a terminal Software used the monitor the Data Control Centre and all related processes.

The Data Control Centre independent controls the operation of the car park-regardless of the status of the control terminals.

The basic system functionality is that each vehicle has a transponder with a unique identity (a number, the drivers name etc.). When approaching the entrance to the parking/security area the transponder memory is remotely read at a distance of 2 - 10 m from the transceiver.

The ID is compared to a white list of authorized users of the system and if approved, the barrier, traffic light etc. will be activated. Data can also be written back into the memory of the tag
Park & Ride
"Park & Ride" is a way of combining private travel with public transport. Drive the car to a car-park on the edge of town, then take the bus into the town/city centre. The electronics in the system can deal with all the practical details, from deducting the parking fee and price of the bus ticket, as well as handling different kinds of discount.
