My Dear Child, by Thea Van Doorn To day you came into my office, you asked for me to come for a walk, but I was so busy. I told you not now, some other time. You decided to Go and see the fields, you past by our neighbor, He too did not want to go; you promised him there would be lots to see. He asked," what is there to see ?" Wonders that the Lord has Made for you and me. "If you can prove, there is a Lord, I will give you this shiny dime". You took your friend to the rock ,where the frog croaked his song. You pointed out the birds, singing in the tall tree. The sky, so blue. The dancing white clouds, the worm in the soil, the butterflies in all their glories colors. The soft moss on which you took a rest and talked about the daisy and the buttercups. You picked the dandelion and blew the seed. ******* I failed to spent the time with you , I should have been there with you. Now that I have the time for you, you are asleep. More over your dreaming and smiling in your sleep, thinking of the shiny dime , you so much deserved, for showing your friend that the Lord is every where. Please Lord help me to see the wonders you have made, true the eyes of the child you sent to me , to teach as he teaches me. Let me remember to trust and know what is important . This dear child taught his friend that we are never allone He showed his friend, and he now believes. Lord, let me trust, and believe in the wonders you have made. |
