Emily Marie Estefan was born on December 5, 1994, after years of hoping and praying. Gloria tried and prayed for a year to get pregnant and ended up having to undergo surgery. The surgery was to fix one of her fallopian tupes which had been crushed in her bus accident. Two months after the surgery, baby Emily was concieved. Big brother Nayib was so happy for his mother when she told him she was pregnant that he picked her up and spun her around.
There is a striking resemblance between Gloria and Emily, especially in photos. Gloria says, "People see her and freak out. I don't see it as much in her face. When I look at pictures it's uncanny." Look at Gloria as a baby and look at Emily, Gloria's right, it's uncanny!Not only do they look alike, but act alike as well. Gloria as a child was very shy and timid. Emily is the same. |
