A scriptures that gave me hope recently:

1 Nephi 1:14 Lehi is quoted as saying: “Great and marvelous are thy works, O Lord God Almighty! Thy throne is high in the heavens, and thy power, and goodness, and mercy are over all the inhabitants of the earth; and, because thou art merciful, thou wilt not suffer those who come unto thee that they shall perish!

This scripture was discussed by Steven A. Cramer in his compilation of essays “Draw Near Unto Me” page 22. He said that it was a great discovery in his life when he found out that ‘God doesn’t demand that we overcome every fault before He loves us, because He knows that if we need to change, discovering His love for us will lead us to change’. He also quotes John 6:37 “. . . him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out”.
