An outreach service is available two days a week at Granville Multicultural Community Centre
Based at 2 Dickson Avenue, West Ryde
This is a confidential free community service provided by Christian Community Aid Service Inc. for people with financial difficulties or who need information relating to credit and debt
The financial counsellors are qualified staff and volunteers who have a good knowledge of business, financial and para-legal matters as well as practical experience in budgeting
Face to face interviews are conducted in a friendly, non-judgemental manner. Financial counsellors are caring professionals who are sensitive to the needs of their clients.
How can Financial Counselling help you
-A personal budget may be designed to suit your individual needs
-Financial Counsellors assess your full financial situation and provide options for change and improvement
-Financial Counsellors are experienced in dealing with creditors and may act as an advocate, negotiator or mediator on your behalf
-Details provided of your rights and responsibilities when considering bankruptcy
-Entitlements for government assistance may be assessed
-Information is provided on the debt recovery system and the laws relating to credit
-Ongoing counselling is provided to support you along the way
