ADOLESCENT SUPPORT WORKER

The Adolescent Support worker is there to provide counseling, casework, educational and developmental programs for 12-16 year old 'at risk' adolescents (& their families) who are;  living at home and at risk of being taken into care, homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, in crisis situations at home or school, identified as 'at risk' of becoming homeless, in crisis situations at home or school, identified as 'at risk' of coming into contact with the Department of Juvenile Justice.

The adolescent support worker is there for adolescents who want to:

Get back to school

Join local activities

Get someone to come to court or talk to the police with them


The adolescent worker can also help out finding adolescents places to stay, help adolescents find out about services they can use, help in filling out forms,  help in mediating between the adolescents and others such as family, schools and government departments.

The adolescent worker can visit at homes and anything said to the adolescent worker will be treated as importance and with respect.

Young Arabic Men's Group
Juvenile Justice Conferencing
HUGS- Anti Violence group for young women
Drop In- Friday afternoon youth service
Guest teacher for Welfare Students- Granville Tafe
Youth Resource Van- Parramatta Youth Workers Network
Holroyd Youth Workers Network- Treasurer
