The Mountain...

We stood there alone,
This mountain and me.
I can’t climb this mountain,
Whose top I can’t see.

I look left, I look right,
I look up and down.
I am looking for a path,
Which will lead me around.

This mountain’s quite tricky,
On this you can bet.
You must plan your attack,
With little regret.

With my pack of supplies,
It’s all such a chore.
I’ll take the first steps,
Towards my freedom once more.

I do many things,
As I climb on my way.
My journey is tough,
But I’ll be OK.

As I climb to the top,
And stand there to see.
I realize I made it,
Just me and my 'D'.

We all have our struggles,
This always will be.
But we all climb our mountain,
And conquer our 'D'.
