Empire, Mt. November 1, 1999-- GMRV received assay results last week from samples taken from the Kelly Vein. Three samples were taken in an unworked mineralized zone discovered during pliminary reconnaissance of the adit earlier this summer. The samples returned values of 52opt silver, 3.4% copper, and 1.5% lead. Click here to see a picture of the vein and the assay results.
An analysis of the samples show that the Kelly Vein is not minerally-related to other vein-systems that the adjacent mines had worked. GMRV wondered about this since the Kelly Vein had not previously been noted any of the local geology/mine maps GMRV had aquired. The Kelly Vein also strikes N 60 E, while the other veins that were historically worked ran N 50-80d W. The Kelly Adit appears to be located on a horizontal fault. In the upper half of the adit, the vein is displaced to the northwest and is partially in the footwall, while in the lower half of the adit, the vein is under the hanging wall. Numerous horizontal and verticle veins were noted earlier this fall. Some of the larger cross-veins have been drifted upon, but no samples have been taken at this time.
GMRV proposes further exploration in 2000 once more funding can be secured. GMRV still plans to open the Kelly Shaft to at least the 50ft. level. GMRV plans to then explore some of the old workings at this point and sample the Whipperwill Vein.
Maps are avaiable for individuals or companies interested in being a part of the Kelly project by e-mailing GMRV.

NAS Study Confirms That There is No Need to Rewrite Mining Regulations
(Business Wire - September 30, 1999 18:57)
SPOKANE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 30, 1999--The National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences' (NAS) report on Hardrock Mining on Federal Lands confirms that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) does not have any reason for a major rewrite of the 43 CFR 3809 Surface Management regulations governing hardrock mining on public lands.
The findings substantiate what the Northwest Mining Association (NWMA) and everyone else has been saying since Department of Interior Secretary Bruce Babbitt first began an ill-conceived rulemaking over three years ago.

GMRV Looking to Purchase Historic Gold Mine
(9/99)
Empire, MT. --September 17, 1999-- GMRV was notified last week that an adjoining patented mine and townsite, on strike with their current project and above their operating placer mine, was for sale. The 226 ac. site has seen intermittent operation since the late 1860's. In 1986, two majors drilled the property and started plans to construct a mill the following spring. One undeveloped gold vein that ran up to 1.5opt gold was noted along with some lower grade veins. When gold prices started dropping and the owners of a nearby property filed a lawsuite, the majors pulled out. Now with the opportunity to secure 100% interest in the property, GMRV feels that this is a great time to move.
Since the operation will be underground, Montana's recent anti-mining/cyanide ban will not affect the operation. This makes the property worth even more in the long-term. The property had housing and a mill until the State burned them down in 1997, but power, phone, and water are still on site and with a little work, the project can be up and running again in short order.
The property is located 35 miles, by highway, west of Helena and 45 miles from ASARCO's lead smelter. Also a BN rail siding is located just 18 miles from the site.
GMRV anticipates that the current slump in gold prices is only going to be temporary and so securing funding to buy this property and prepare it for operation once prices rise again is a major priority. The mine is still fully equiped with rail and ready to go.

Kelly Project Exceeds GMRV's Expectations.
(9/99)
Canyon Creek, MT. --September 7, 1999-- "The more we look, the more we find..." Alan Gilda, Mining Engineer for GMRV said. In August, GMRV commenced surface exploration on the Kelly Project. Surface samples from two exploration pits reveal more visible gold. Further exploration is warranted to determine whether they are from an existing vein or whether this is a new structure, unnoticed by the earlier mine operators.
GMRV plans to gather more samples before the winter snows set in. Analysis of the samples are planned for the winter months. A summer program for 2000 will be determined once the analysis are complete. Maps are avaiable for individuals and companies interested in this project by contacting GMRV.

GMRV Commences Exploration on the Kelly Project in Montana
(8/99)
Canyon Creek, MT. --August 18, 1999-- Even with the current gold prices so low, GildaRstone Mining & Restoration Ventures (GMRV) located in Canyon Creek, Mt. continues to develop its holdings in the Marysville Mining District. Alan Gilda, Mining Engineer, reported that GMRV received all necessary permits last spring to open up the Kelly adit and refurbish the Kelly shaft. GMRV openned the adit in July and plans to secure the shaft in August, completing repairs to the collar by summer of 2000.
The Kelly adit (6530') extends approximately 520 feet into the west flank of Belmont Mt. and intersects the Whipperwill gold vein. The Kelly adit was worked in the late 1890's and again in the 1960's and early '70's. After openning the adit, GMRV performed an intial evaluation to determine its structural condition. Two unexpected mineralized zones were observed along the back (on the Kelly Vein) during this evaluation. GMRV plans to intiate an extensive exploration program next spring to determine grade and quanity of the vein.
The Kelly shaft (6560') was approximately 90 feet deep and intercepted 3 gold bearing veins before it was closed in the mid-1890's. The property was bougth by the Empire Mining Ltd. but never returned to production after the company decided to focus work on other veins at a lower elevation. After the collar is refurbished next spring, GMRV plans to open it up to evaluate its structural condition prior to sampling.
GMRV decided to undertake this project after surface samples last fall returned 2.76 g/t oxide gold in two old waste dumps and re-evaluation of its location and geology indicates that it has the potental for some profitable ore shoots. GMRV considered drilling the property from the surface, but associated costs were prohibited partially due to limited access and extra permit requirements. GMRV aquired the property in 1998 and added it to its other holdings in the area.

GMRV Discovers Float Gold in Delta Fan.
(6/99)
Helena, MT. --June 23, 1999-- Last fall, GMRV discovered some float gold (flour) while mapping the extention of the Shannon Vein. GMRV is in the process of conducting a ground surveys to delineate the extent of the float and to determine how large the vein is or if it is from glacier deposits. Some small nuggets and course gold were recovered from one sample in July, but further work is required to locate the source in the rugged area. Since the area is inaccessible to equipment, all work will be by hand.
GMRV plans to complete its surface investigation by 2000.

GMRV Strikes an Iron, Zinc, and Copper Ledge
(10/98)
Empire, MT. --October 25, 1998-- GMRV recently aquired the Stormking Lode in the historic Marysville Gold Mining District. Assays from the dump and face of the Stormking_I adit returned 10-13% Fe, 3-5% Zn, and 0.5-2% Cu.
Further evealuation of this property is warrented while metal prices remain strong.

GMRV is Formed to Evaluate and Operate Gold and Base-Metal Properties in Montana.
(5/97)
Canyon Creek, MT. --May 22, 1997-- GMRV (GildaRstone Mining & Restoration Ventures) was recently formed to evaluate gold and copper holdings in the Historic Marysville Gold Mining District. The property, previously held by Cyprus-AMAX and Gulf Titanium, was aquired from Mr. R.A. Gilda III by GMRV in 1997.
GMRV plans to develop a placer deposit within the next 3-5 years. Currently, no work has been done on the property since the 1930's. GMRV plans to utilize current placer techniques for its placer operation and also recycle some of the old mill tailings out of the creek. GMRV plans to initate surface mapping and sampling of a copper lode site this summer while further evaluating its holdings.
