| My daughter and I have been following gymnastics for about 20 years. She participated in the sport from age 4 to 7. Our favorites then were Juli McNamara, Tracey Talivera, Nadia Comaneche, Bart Conner, Mitch Gaylord, followed by MaryLou Retton and Dominique (awesome) Dawes and Kerri Strug. One of the current but older gymnasts I enjoy is Svetlana Korikina sp.?. She is tall for a gymnast and when she does her routines it's just beautiful to watch. She's very dramatic. In recent years there have been a few American ladies gymnast that have been hyped to be phenomenal but in my opinion have been disappointments.There ARE the twin brothers who both made the last Olympic team and seem to be "ones to watch" in the future! |
