Jenica worried that the Female who'd made her didn't care about her, didn't want her to be born. Jenica knew that Women were taken against their will and forced to make Children.
Jenica hoped her Mother hadn't been one of those Women, that instead she had mated with a Man she loved. Jenica had seen people mate, through a window; she knew they liked it though they looked like they didn't. She could tell, from how they looked right after. Jenica hoped her Mother's eyes had been soft, like theirs. Jenica wanted her own eyes to look that way, someday.
