I specialise in wildlife portrature born out of the desire to paint a pretty picture for a pretty girl.  My first attempt was of a female Canadian Tiger Swallow Tail (Papilio canadensis):

This is a simple painting of a Puffin (Fratercula artica: meaning the little brother of the artic):

I couldn't help myself painting a cheeky Chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes):
