"Get Real" This is not your typical coming of age love story. It tells the story of budding writer Steven, who is coming to grips with his sexuality and John, one of the high school jocks, who is terrified of his true feelings. You follow the heartbreak and joy of their relationship with a very satisfying, and believable ending. I can watch this movie over and over. The realistic portrayal of their love in a world that does not understand is beautifully told. |

"Beautiful Thing" This is the story of two teenage boys, Jamie and Ste, who live in an apartment complex. Of course there is much more than that, they soon realize they have feelings for each other. It's a cute love story. The supporting characters are great. Especially their neighbor, Leah, who is obsessed with Mama Cass. This movie reminded me of my innocence when I first realized I was gay. I think that is part of the movie's charm. A'right? A'right!! |

"Trick" It just goes to show you never know what is going to happen. What starts out one way, turns in to something completely different. I do not want to give away much about this plot, it could ruin the effect it will have. I will add that Tori Spelling does a great job as a supporting character who does not know when to take a hint. This is a good "first date" movie for the romantics out there. Or watch it with that special someone and reminisce about your first date. :-) |

"The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" Join the hilarious road trip of 3 drag queens, Mitzi, Bernice, and Felicia as they trek through the Australian Outback on the way to a show. The interaction of the characters remind me of drag queens I know. It's a very funny movie with a few surprises along the way. And the costumes are "mahvelous dahling!" If you want a movie that will make you laugh, this is the one! Best watched with friends. |

"Edge of Seventeen" It's the summer of 1984 and 17 year old Eric is about to embark on a journey of self discovery. Taking a job at an amusement park, he meets an openly gay teen named Rod. His new friend puts a kink in Eric's "romance" with Maggie. Comedian Lea Delaria plays Eric's boss and tour guide through gay life. A funny and bittersweet coming-of age (and coming out) story. |

"It's In the Water" A playful remark by a gay man at a snooty country club dinner sparks a crazy rumor that drives its members to a new high of paranoia. Although, the rumor is a bit far fetched, it mirrors the fact that gays and lesbians still have a long way to go for complete acceptance or understanding. The movie has a slow start, and I was not sure at first if it was worth the rental, but in no time, the story picks up. A good comedy-drama I think you will like. |

"I love movies in general, but if I can find a gay-themed one to watch I am that much happier. I found all of these at the local Blockbuster Video in my town. I go there every couple months and search out covers that may be gay-themed! Hope you enjoy them as much as I did..." Robb |
