The next state Goatfolks rolled through was Oklahoma. The picture in the upper left was taken at a roadside stop as we entered Oklahoma. Just another roadside attraction for Jeff and Scott to pose next |

to. The stop also featured numerous live animals as well. Our next stop was in Catoosa, Oklahoma. I had been looking forward to this stop especially since I love abandoned things. It was the Blue Whale. A long abandoned tourist stop on the side of the road. It was originally a roadside resting spot for families as it has a giant blue whale that is actually a dock where kids could slide off of and swim in the pond. It also featured a giant Arc as in Noahs, where it displayed different animals, so I guess this place had a biblical theme. It was a pretty cool place to explore. There were numerous signs up stating |

that there was no trespassing and any violators would be shot. This made us want to go in even more. It was actually kinda creepy in there, although I can see how little kids would have enjoyed it in its heyday. From what I've heard this place is being redone, so maybe it will be reopened again in the future. In the picture to the left you can see one of us posing in the mouth of the whale, that gives you an idea of how big it is. We should have stayed longer since there was so much to explore. |

Still floating in the pond was this old boat. It is probably a total loss, but it was pretty cool looking. On the front was an octopus head, with its tentacles streaming down the sides of the boat. Happy and fun looking I'm sure when it was new, but creepy looking now that it is old and rotten and in a mucky old pond. This was one of my favorite stops on the trip. Our next stop was Arcadia, Oklahoma and the |

Round Barn. It was built in 1898 and was just about to collapse when it was luckily completly renovated. |

It is a huge building as you can see below and was |

to be round to help protect it from tornadoes and storms. I guess it worked. The lower half of the barn is now a information and gift shop, while the upper level is rented out for special occasions. The upper level has amazing accoustics. If someone stands in the middle of the room and another person stands all the way to the outside wall, you can clearly hear the person in the middle whisper like it's right in your ear, pretty cool. As we ended our day in Oklahoma, I snapped the picture to the left of a nice evening sky. |
