| So you want to know what the deal is with me, huh? Well, I'm a 22 year old recent college grad from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, circa December 2002 (yes, I graduated at the age of 20, I am the bomb!)! I majored in sociology (if you're in school and you have the chance, you should definitely take one of those classes), but I also have a love for Literature and for the Arts, so I took a bunch of those on the side (double-majoring would require me to stay in hell, I mean at school for longer than the expected four years, but maybe not since I came out in 3 and a half years). I currently am an AmeriCorps VISTA at my alma mater, working with various non-profits and organizations that do community based work in Detroit and its' surrounding areas. I eventually would love to return to school to get my MBA and work for a corporation that does non-profit work. In my spare time (I don't think I even have any), I like to spend time with my family, friends, and my boyfriend (I love you Binkie Bear!). I enjoy going dancing or clubbing with my girls, shopping, and just to apease my best friend LaVerne and my family, going to the movies, to dinner, and to the casino (Motor City baby!). But I do have a milder, quieter side. I love to read and write poetry (look for the book soon!). I also enjoy attending church, and spend quite a bit of time working with our youth group, The Youth Outreach Program, for which I am the Vice President and Head of Communications. I'm originally from Detroit, but now that I have graduated, I will most likely be relocating somewhere else. I love to be the center of attention (probably a direct result of the city from which I came), but I can be a shy girl and I definitely have my own mysterious side and a need for privacy.
