10/30/2004 God Is Sew Good !!! Embroidery and sewing business was created through prayer and a desire to start a home business. I love sewing, and after seeing the new computerized embroidery machines I was hooked. I prayed about buying the machine or not and at the time (because of the expense). It was at that time the Lord gave me the name of the business, God Is Sew Good!!! The significance of this is, I had an existing business name, from an antique business I had, “Odds & Olds Antiques,” I was going to keep that name, but the Lord gave me the name “God Is Sew Good!!!” and I went with that. I have been standing on Psalms 37:4 that says, “If we will delight ourselves in the Lord He will give us the desires of our hearts.” I have been doing this now for two and a half years as a part-time home based business. I work in one of the local factories, but my goal is to start embroidering and sewing full time. I specialize in Christian apparel, but do custom and personalized work also. I heat-press Christian t-shirts and make bikers’ “do-rags” and patches along with sewing on bikers’ patches on vests and jackets, and small mending jobs. My ready-made merchandise can be seen and purchased at The House of Prayer Ellettsville, 4100 Hartstrait Rd., Bloomington, Indiana. This is just the beginning of things to come, “I know I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). I belong to the House of Prayer Ellettsville, which I am currently the Bookstore director. This church has been a blessing every since I first attended there four years ago. I enjoy riding motorcycles and I am a member of the “UNCHAINED GANG MINISTRIES” which is a motorcycle/street/jail & prison ministry. Custom Machine embroidery is in the process of purchasing an existing Embroidery and Screen printing business. God is giving me the desires of my heart. I will be quitting my factory job and running my own business. God can do exceedingly and abundantly above all we can think or hope for. God is opening the doors all the way in this endeavor and I am going through them. While praying about this purchase, all God said to me was Peter didn't walk on the water until he got out of the boat. God Is Soooooooo good. We purchased the assets from Images in Thread and kept the name and the same location as not to confuse the current customer base,in December 2006. I terminated my employment form General Electric Bloomington, to pursue my dream of working fulltime in my own business, doing machine embroidery.
