Under-eye circles
You always
manage to catch a good night’s sleep. But when you look in the mirror, you
weirdly resemble a raccoon with your ghastly dark under-eye circles. What you
don’t know is that your under-eye circles can be inherited – just take a look at
your family members and you’ll find out.
On the other
hand, circles with more of a purplish or reddish undertone are caused by the
superficial blood vessels in the skin. The skin around our eyes is very thin and
fragile, so blood vessels show through the skin more. As you age, these tend to
enlarge slightly and usually look worse with lack of sleep.
Moreover,
the skin around our eyes is not very elastic and is usually where the first
signs of ageing appear. Fine lines and crow’s feet all reveal a woman’s age.
Here are some tips on how to keep under-eye circles, wrinkles and dark areas at
bay:
● Make a determined effort to get more
sleep.
● Drink
at least 8 glasses of water to hydrate your skin, especially your
eye area.
● Moisturize the eye area with a cream
that’s easy to apply such as
Godiva Licorice Whitening
Cream. It is safe to use around the eye area and helps moisturize,
plump out fine lines, and reduce puffiness and the appearance of dark circles
around the eyes. Apply twice daily, mornings and evenings.
● Prevent
your eye area from further sun damage by using a sunscreen like
Godiva Green Tea Sunblock Cream. After
applying Godiva Licorice Whitening Cream in the morning, apply
Godiva Greeen Tea
Sunblock Cream around the eye area. Be sure not to apply right up to the eyelid
margin because it may sting if it gets in the eye. Then wear sunglasses when
going outdoors to block harmful UV rays.

Sunscreen Usage
Errors Revealed |
According to
a theory conducted by scientists, the use of sunscreens or sunblock to prevent
sunburn often leads people to stay out in the sun much longer. As such, it
increases their exposure to harmful UV rays not well blocked by sunscreens.
Another research shows that, when used correctly, sunscreens play a major
role in preventing skin cancer.
In order to
protect your skin from sun damage and prevent skin cancer, make it a point to
AVOID these major mistakes of sunscreen users:
● Relying
solely on sunscreen
World Health
Organization experts conclude that sunscreen can prevent sunburn and,
consequently, skin cancer. It is therefore important that sunscreen users should
not stay out longer on the mistaken assumption that sunscreen eliminates all
adverse UV effects.
● Applying
too little sunblock
In a
research conducted involving highly sun-sensitive patients, it was found that
these patients failed to put sunscreen on exposed areas like the ears, temple
and neck.
● Not
using a broad-spectrum sunblock
Most
chemical sunscreens block only UVB rays and provide limited protection against
UVA rays.
To protect
your skin from sun damage, look for a broad-spectrum protection like
Godiva
Green Tea Sunblock Cream SPF 15 PA++. You get full protection from ALL
harmful UV rays, plus the ability to resist sun damage with powerful, natural
green tea antioxidants.
Zinc
oxide, nature’s original sunblock, is the ONLY sunscreen that works
throughout the UV spectrum. It is a safer and more effective alternative to
chemical sunscreens. With Godiva’s new technology, zinc oxide is now available
in ultrafine transparent form called Z-block.
Godiva
Green Tea Sunblock Cream has a high 8% zinc oxide (Z-block) content and 4%
Octyl Methoxy Cinnamate (OMC). For best results, apply DAILY to face and other
exposed areas like the ears, temple and neck, and preferably on damp skin. Wait
at least 30 minutes before going out in the sun. A single application is
sufficient for all-day protection. However, you must reapply if sunblock is
wiped off.
