 N Skin Care Alert

Moisturizing Your Face

If you think soap and water is enough to keep your skin healthy and glowing, you're wrong. Read on.

Moisturizing plays an important part in keeping your skin looking young and radiant. It is even as vital as cleansing and an effective skin care regimen. Moisturizers form a barrier on the surface of the skin to prevent loss of moisture, thus making your skin look and feel softer and smoother.

Choosing the correct moisturizer can definitely make a big difference on your skin. When looking for a moisturizer, choose one that's formulated for your skin type. Keep in mind that the drier your skin, the richer your moisturizer must be. For combination skin, use a lighter moisturizer in the oily areas than you use on the cheeks.

Here are some tips to keep your skin moisturized:

Avoid washing your face with harsh soaps and hot water as these can dry the skin.

Don't expose your skin to excess sun and wind. As much as possible, use a sunblock when outdoors.

Don't drink too much alcohol and caffeine as these can dehydrate your skin. Drink at least 8 glasses of water to nourish the skin from within.

To moisturize your skin -- and even out skin tone -- use Godiva Licorice Whitening Cream mornings and evenings. Need a lift? Try Godiva Face and Neck Firming Cream to firm up skin, reduce superficial wrinkles and lighten age spots.

How to minimize lip chapping

During the cold season, your lips are not spared from the drying effects of the weather. Do prevent chapping, avoid licking your lips as saliva can only further dry them.

Use a lip balm regularly such as Godiva Lightening Lip Gloss to soothe lips, keeping them softer and more kissable. Plus, it whitens dark lips with licorice extract and Bioactive Vitamin C. Now how's that for a two-in-one lip treatment!
