Rovers 1-1 West Bromwich Albion

Here's were I'd like to have said that Rovers look in pole position for the Uefa Cup place after Fulham did their bit by beating Everton, and 1-0 up at half time things looked good for Rovers.

Again we were let down, as Albion equalised and Rovers fell to pieces, and the poor run of results against the lower sides in the division continued. Damien Duff was again the solo bright spark outfield and as usual Brad Friedel was to thank for preventing a few nasty moments as the very poor looking defence let Albion through again and again.

The Obvious highlight of the day was the Albion fans dressed in referee outfits and carrying referee cards. The Rovers fans failed to get behind thier team and despite the improvement from last season on league form, seem dissattisfied with the team.

At the back, Rovers were clearly missing the influential Craig Short, and revelation that has been Vratty Gresko.

Now Rovers must beat Tottenham at White Hart Lane to stand any chance of qualifying for the Uefa Cup. One thing in Rovers favour is that although Everton must lose, they have the Champions Manchester United to play.
