Music
Now here's a little about the music scene. I'm into my dance music so if you dont like it, deal with it! I'm particularly into DJ Tiesto, Scooter, Barthezz and most trance, house and techno. Recommendations: (for this I'm going to be extremley in favour of commercial music because one thing that annoys me is comments that commercial music is crap. Good music is good music, it doesnt matter wether its commercial or not) so here's a few of my favourite albums in no particular order.

Foo Fighters - The Colour and     The Shape

QOTSA - Songs For The Deaf

Oasis - (What's The Story)      Morning Glory

The Killers - Hot Fuss

The White Stripes
- White Blood   Cells

Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand

Kaiser Chiefs - Employment

Tompaulin - The Influence Behind The (Now sadly split) Scarves
The local scene.

Now is what can only be described as a fantastic time for Blackburn's local talent. The two that I have particular interest in are The Scarves (Now Sadly No more) (Influenced By Tompaulin) and The Fashionable Winos. Influenced by allsorts of random music these two bands have what it takes to make it big in the world of music, but do they want to be big? Only time will tell. Having witnessed both first hand, the future does indeed look bright. It's all about the music.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to wish the new local girl band 4Play The Best Of Luck. The girls have performed in Haslingden, in aid of the Lancashire Evening Telegraph's Magic Eye Appeal, and on the Blackburn College Campus

Next Big thing?

Following a morning viewing of GMTV (thats enough) I came across one of the next big artists. Fifteen year-old starlet Renee Olstead performed for the GMTV viewers on 12th April, and really stood out with a striking performance. The U.S.born singer/actress showed that she can play upto the camera and her voice really did stand out. She's already big in the States and looking to conquer the shores of Blighty. I think she's going to be a huge star. Olstead's album was realsed 11th April 2005.
Thanx
I'd also like to say a huge thanx to Sam Flanagan for the CD, and inspiration for my current mixes I'm working on. If I think they're good enough I may post them on this page at a later date. Note: Mixes Abandoned
