| NEW ARRIVALS! | ||||||||
| Chuck 0.1 Ball Python This lady, I'm just babysitting. Her owner had to move in with a friend for a while. The landlord doesn't like snakes, so now she graces me with her presence. Her history is a mystery, but as you can clearly see form the pics, it hasn't been a painless past. She's healthy, eats fine, and just popped out of a perfect doughnut shed, but the fact that she's even still breathing is a miracle. The scar on her belly is about 8 inches long, and when she breathes, it rises and falls, meaning whatever did the damage went all the way through the abdominal wall. She also has some scarring in her throught. I'm really thinking she's a very fortunate survivor of a transport animal past.Drug dealers have been known to use snakes to transport their wares across political boundaries unseen. The cut was surgical in precision, leading me to beleive it was no accident. I've heard of it happening, but usually they die in te process. Whatever happened to her, she's a lucky duck. Maybe one day she'll give me the details, but as of now, she's not talking about it. :-) |
