Oh Holy Father......
With trembling voices and hearts we call out to You. We know that even this is in Your hands.
We know that you have given mankind free will. In that we choose to do good or bad. We choose to seek peace or cause strife. We have been terrorized by those who seek strife. In our confusion we remember the words of Habakkuk as he chose to trust You when all had fallen around him and he too did not understand..
We see the mountain of rubble, twisted steel, dust and to our despair, the body parts of those who in an instant were gone forever. They leave children, wives,husbands, mothers & father, sisters, brothers,and friends behind to pick through the rubble and chaos hoping that their loved one's hand will reach out to them. Be their Comforter. Bring them peace. Renew their hope.
For many, time will stand still forever, frozen, suspended in those moments that changed all our lives' forever.....
We see the hollow, sunken faces of rescuers, loved ones and others, walking like lost sheep throughout the streets of what we have all come to know as Ground Zero..... Oh God, in all this, we seek You for comfort. Only You can bring consolation in this time of unblievable heartache. We pray that You will give wisdom to our nation's leaders. Though, as a people, we are called to peace and not to seek vengeance, our government has a different duty. {Romans 13} We pray that their hand will be an instrument guided by You.
We prayer that we, as a united people will embrass our Muslim brothers here. This is their America too..Keep them safe from harm.... This is not a war on religion. It is a war on terrorism.
