Dagarla

[Dagarla - Dagahra]

(Rebirth of Mothra II (1997))

Length: 70 meters

Weight: 50,000 metric tons (estimated)

Powers/Special Powers: Swimming, flight, incredibly strong, lightning breath, can create and fire toxic Berem, can fire lightning from shoulder spikes, can generate gigantic whirlpools, the Berem can also spit an acidic foam-like substance

History/Origin: Thousands of years ago, Dagarla was created by the ancient underwater civilization, Nilai-Kanai, to rid the world of pollution. Dagarla did so, but in the process of absorbing the pollution, Dagarla left behind starfish-like creatures called Berem, which were extremely toxic. And so Dagarla was locked away, but not for long. The levels of pollution in the modern world were enough to awaken Dagarla, who once again began to absorb pollution and create Berem. When challenged by Mothra Leo, Dagarla triumphed, catching the giant moth in a massive whirlpool and coating her with Berem. This victory was only temporary, however, as Mothra soon came back, powered-up into Rainbow Mothra and Aqua Mothra, who made short work of Dagarla, who was finally laid to rest.

Power: ***** out of *****

Dagarla is a very dangerous and powerful kaiju. His lightning-like rays are lethal, and he does not hesitate to use them. And even though he is skilled with his beams, Dagarla isn't afraid to get into a physical fight, using his teeth and claws to best advantage. Perhaps his greatest weapon, however, are the Berem creatures he leaves in his wake. The Berem are very toxic, and can drain the strength from another kaiju if enough have gathered upon it. However, his greatest weakness is a surprising one: although he is a sea monster, Dagarla isn't very agile underwater, and if her were to face a creature more at home in the water than he, it could prove to be his undoing.
