| (Rebirth of Mothra (1996)) Height: 50 meters Length: 100 meters Weight: 75,000 tons Powers/Special Powers: Flight, firebreath (from middle head), lava-like energy blasts from his mouths, can raise collumns of energy from the ground, can unleashed shockwaves from his back, can drain the lifeforce from smaller living beings History/Origin: DesGhidorah arrived on Earth millions of years ago and ended the age of the dinosaurs by stealing their lifeforce. However, he was defeated and imprisoned by numerous Mothras. But in modern day, DesGhidorah was unleashed by Belvera, the evil Elias, and he began to once again wreak havoc on mankind. Mothra was summoned to defeat him, but DesGhidorah quickly made short work of the giant insect. Even when the larval Mothra came to assist her, the two Mothras were no match for DesGhidorah. The adult Mothra died from its wounds as the baby travelled to the Tree of Life to cocoon itself. Meanwhile, DesGhidorah sprouted his wings (which had atrophied during his 65 million-year imprisonment) and began to take flight, stealing the lifeforce of the plants in the Hokkaido forrests. The baby soon hatched into the adult Mothra Leo, which quickly returned to face DesGhidorah. The three-headed creature tried his best, but was once again defeated and sealed back underground. Power: ***** DesGhidorah is extremely powerful. Even the might of the Heisei Mothra was not enough to deter him. DesGhidorah's powers are varied enough that they can keep any opponent on their toes. DesGhidorah's only real weakness is his lack of speed, but when his wings are fully formed and he has the power of flight, he loses even this. The only time DesGhidorah has trouble in a fight is when he is faced with a foe with as many weapons as he. But even then, DesGhidorah is not to be underestimated. |
