At last here it is, My Collection !!
For the most part, this is everything that I display. I have decided to cut my collection down to just Bandai figures and various pieces either from my childhood or that I was compelled to get. In the pictures below, I will point out just some of the collectibles not shown elsewhere on this site. As you can see, Picture #1 is a nice panoramic view of my bedroom /Godzilla room that shows my 1976 John Berkey King Kong artwork poster in the upper center. Picture #2 shows my Aurora glow Godzilla, Mattel Shogun Godzilla and the Mattel Rodan with an original 1950's Rodan movie pressbook above them. Picture #2 also shows some of my Kaiyodo model kits such as the '68 Godzilla and the '62 Godzilla w/ custom diorama base. Picture #3 shows my Bandai DX Godzilla 2002 remote controlled figure in the left center and the bottom shelf has my original '78 Mattel Godzilla game as well as the Medicom '62 version Takara Godzilla. Picture # 4  is of  my King Kong vs. Godzilla Tree Sandwich resin model kit, '55 Godzilla vs. Angilas diorama and the Polar Lights 16" Diorama (3rd Place Winner) . Hope you all have enjoyed viewing my collection. I look forward to receiving & posting pictures of other Godzilla fan collection displays in the future. Thank You !!.......James
Top five Favorite Vinyls
1: Bandai Theater Exclusive Meltdown Godzilla : It is a very tough decision to choose a favorite from one's collection. The Theater Exclusive Godzilla has the most unique look of all my vinyls. It's the combination of the bright red & orange coloring, the orange eyes and the detail of the sculpt just sets this figure apart from the rest. Adding to the appeal is the fact that it's a limited release and that it is the most valuable piece in my collection.
2: Bandai '62 Godzilla : Easily in my top five favorites. The original ( first release ) '62 Godzilla has a vintage type appeal to it. Starting off the new wave of detailed vinyls in 1983, Bandai as well as Godzilla fans know that the '62 version suit is one of the best. With unique pivoting joints at the knees, a solid design and a classic look, no wonder why it is considered the hardest to find standard Bandai.
3: Banpresto DX Godzilla 2000 : Without a doubt one of the best and most detailed vinyl figure sculpts around. This piece definitely captures the look of a pissed off Godzilla if I had ever seen one. Combine that with the above average size and the relatively low cost at time of purchase and I had to place this in my top five.
4: Marmit '62 Blue Gallery Godzilla : I have a tendencey to like the figures that stand out from the rest in my collection. The Marmit'62 Blue Gallery does just that. Being an extremely accurate sculpt along with the accessory Nato base, it makes a cool diorama. Displayed along side with the Theater Exclusive Meltdown Godzilla they are quite a pair. Also being a very limited release, it makes me thankful that I own one.
5: Bandai Large Scale G'91 : The largest of my vinyl figures has to be in the top five. The detail on this piece is excellent with the double rows of teeth and great looking dorsal plates. Also a very solid piece with good construction. I acquired this figure from a trade with Mark Obert (The 1st GVM Collection Contributor). Thanks Mark !
