I was asked by Abi to write about this weekend when we all got together and
skated. I thought, OK, this is going to be easy, but now that I’m trying to
write it, it’s a lot harder then I thought it would be. This is a brief summary
of what happened and what things stuck out in my mind the most.
It all started a few weeks ago when I had a phone call off Abi saying that Lyza
was planning to come down and skate Rampworx.  After much arranging and lots of
telephone calls we decided that on the 26th of April some of the crew and the
crew’s friends would jump on a train and roll Liverpool.  This is what we got up
to in the space of 48 hours……
... ...Friday 26th April came and I took the day off school and started to prepare for
my visitors. I cleaned my room, finished coursework and started revision. I
was meeting Jenny and Andrea at 4.30pm and we were going to meet the crew at
Lime Street. Lyza and Lee arrived first, followed by Spud and finally Lex. Abi
was arrivivng on Saturday morning. We all congregated in Lime Street and
planned our next move, which ended up to be watching skate vids and sessioning a
waxed curb in the local area that all the little kids use to mess about on. Lex
managed to negative mizou the curb and Lyza was pulling off sweet pornstars and
switch-ups. Spud, aka sunny day boy,had his sunny days so smooth and was
getting good results from the little curb. Andrea was busting out her famous
alley oop souls and was smessing with the idea of royals. Jenny wasn’t feeling
too well so she sat and chilled with Lee. Lee is a BMXer, so a curb isn’t much
use to him. After the session we started to watch Tombraider. Spud seemed very
impressed with the shower scene. We got half way through the film when we
decided to retire to our own houses and eventually to bed.
Because I had to pick Abi up at 9.30am, I kicked Lex and Spud out the house at
8.45am.  Naturally I missed my bus and arrived late. Once Abi and I arrived to
Rampworx, Jenny, Lyza, Spud and Lex were sessioning the spine. We said our
‘hellos’ and started to skate. The first thing we tackled was the smaller
funbox. Spud was pulling off his sweet sunny days and landing them everytime.
They looked even better because he had his sexy looking TRS Access. Lyza was
giving it all in her sunny days, and her top sunny days were looking so good,
she turned many heads. Lex was pulling off the sweetest fishbrains and he was
souling through the kink like it was nothing to him. Jenny was trying out never
done before souls and was close to locking them on. While we were all
sessioning the funbox, Abi had snook off to her beloved mini. We joined her and
watched her sick alley oop acids and alley oop mizous. Lyza and me were working
on our backside royales and switch-ups.
During the next session, Guy Crawford and Jenny Logue turned up with Phil and
Carl from masscrew.  I had the feeling that this was going to be a sick session.
I wasn’t wrong. Jenny Louge was styling out her backside royales, she was
skating so strong. Guy was unbelievable, but that’s Guy for you. He was
pulling off the sweetest fastslides and his 360 topsouls were amazing!
Lyza and me were toying with the idea of royaling down the funbox, after a few
attempts I gave up and started skating a rail, but Lyza nailed them.  Guy was
telling Lyza to try a royale on a rail, she did, and much to our surprise, Lyza
pulled off a sick royale. OK, so she fell at the end, but the royale was
looking good.
After Rampworx we wandered off to KFC.  After sitting around for an hour and
messing about we returned to Jenny’s where we started on her alcohol supply.
Lyza managed to drink so much that she went on the rampage with some shifty wax.
Claiming she was trying to snap my frames, she started to hit my skates with all
the strength she had. I foolishly put my hand in the way and she hit it. That
hurt. She managed to get wax all over the carpet and while me and Jenny were
cleaning it up she took the wax into the living room and started to beat Spud
up. She managed to destroy Jenny’s house. Lyza then went into the conservatory
where she was sick in the bin and all over the floor!!  It was so funny! Once
the conservatory had been cleaned up we sat and chilled in front of the TV.  I
was starting to fall asleep when we decided to go home and go to bed.  Abi was
staying at my house this night so we sat and talked for a bit before I fell
asleep.
It was raining when I woke up so we all decided to go to Rampworx again.  It
was full of BMXers so Lee was happy.  I managed to have a few attempts at a few
rails but it was too busy to try out new tricks, I also had a hangover so that
didn’t help.  Lyza must have been feeling like hell!  She still managed to skate
though.  We left Rampworx at 4pm to go into Liverpool.  Jenny had to go home
then, so she said her farewells there.  We went to Pizza Hut and KFC after
saying bye to Jenny.  At Aintree station I was feeling a lot better and Lyza and
me were sessioning a yellow line on the floor.  The train journey was quite
amusing and we nearly missed our stop.  Lex pushed me down an escalator but in
return he gave me some Razor buckles.  Thanks Lex.  We sat in Burger King where
Carney (a skate boarder) treated us all to a drink because he’d just been paid.
Before I knew it, it was time to go to the platforms and start saying goodbye.
Spud, Lyza and Lee were the first to leave, followed by Lex and finally Abi.  We
had an emotional farewell and I found out that I cant out run a train, although
I tried very hard.

To anyone who wasn’t there, you missed a great weekend, but its going to happen
again soon so don’t be too upset that you missed it.
