DEVASTATION This page is dedicated to the ever growing variety of parts that I keep breaking.  I have started to believe that it is not so much racing as it is the endless search for the weakest part of my car.  I will add more as my wallet thins.

The picture above shows the 30 spline C-body axles I had cut and resplined for the 8-3/4 rear end in the Duster.  They showed very little twist after the first year with 3.55:1 gears.  Unfortunately the 4.88:1's with a spool were not as forgiving.  When I released the transbrake the car barely took off and spun the right rear like there was no tomorrow.  $400 got me a set of Moser high strength units and I was racing again the next Saturday.

BTW, do you know how to make a small fortune in braket racing?  Start with a large one:)
