3. as a final "clean-up" from dredge, sluice or wash waters

In all of these is the "lazy-man's" approach to recovery, that is to say, "Passive"...For instance, Our Activated Carbon can be placed as 25 lb bags in watercourses like irrigation ditches, streams, etc. to gradually collect gold where no other method is practical, or perhaps legal.
Used as a final collector in sluices, high-bankers, even past the best gravity traps, wheels, etc., it can redeem even the finest colloidal gold and precious metals, as the sluiced waters pour into a simple tub, where one of these pre-packed bags sits, or through a pipe packed with our recovery cartridges.
Proof of this is to pan some of the water coming off your sluice or dredge operation. Pan it carefully, as if you were doing a prospecting test, and you will be astonished. After you are through spitting fire and cussing, you too will admit the fine stuff is getting away.

All of these can, AND DO, remove, interfere with, and rob gold values in smaller, recreational gold recovery systems, no matter Who's name is on the machinery, or how careful you are.
The essential difference between using our pumped, poly filtration system and this, passive carbon rests on 2 things:
1. Poly filtration is QUICK...but most effective above 1 micron range
2. Carbon is SLOW, and most effective BELOW 1 micron range
As Carbon demands a slower approach, it also works well with gravity, in gradual flows are perfect. (Meandering streams)
What makes Carbon effective is (say it with me) OXYGEN.......
Oxygen is the carrier that brings the colloidal particle into contact with the Carbon's "Van der Waal" electrical, attaction forces, gluing it into place.
This means, if recovering leaches with carbon, or flooded mine water, you will need to add some Oxygen, like an aquarium bubbler.
