Thank you for your interest in helping Raymond Morrison, K50636. My name is Donna Goldstein-Kekstadt. I am the mother of Raymond Morrison, an Orthodox Jewish inmate at Lancaster Prison in LA County, California: Ray has never been in prison before and for the last five years he has been paying for the crime he committed. In addition he has been targeted for cruel and unusual punishment far beyond the sentence he was given (for not shaving his beard). His life in danger in a level four facility and the points he continues to accrue have added time to his sentence. My intention is to bring attention and resolution to this deplorable situation for CA. inmates and the religious persecution they endure. After trying for five years to help my son I believe the only solution is to request his transfer to the Illinois State Prison system. Please I pray read the information I have enclosed! I look forward to hearing from you. President Clinton signed the Religious Freedom Senate Bill 2869 for Inmates before leaving office. The Muslims have a Class Action Suit against the CA Prisons system, currently. Please investigate the unwarranted and inhumane treatment of prisoners who choose to follow their faith and religious doctrines.
