Jim Reynolds on the left, Joe Taylor holding Santa, and probably Richard Orefice on the right.

Obviously taken around Christmas 1969.

Part of Golf company was guarding a bridge on, I think, the road between LZ Ross and LZ Baldy.  Which is what I figure we have here.

The rest of the company was at the Rock Crusher.
Richard Orefice.

Notice the magazine in his rifle.  It is one of the 30 round curved ones.  He also has a grenade on his belt and his pants pockets stuffed with something.  I never liked carrying much in those cargo pockets.  No matter what it was it would move around and rub on my leg and get to be a real irritation.

Don't know where or when this was taken but it sort of looks like the country around the railroad tracks on the south edge of Dodge City.
This picture and the one below are a pretty good representation of how most of the people in the Que Son mountain/Dodge City area lived.  The stick and grass houses were about all you would see in the way of housing.

The houses in the town in this area were considerably more substantial, but still not much.

The man hoeing the garden looks fairly young.  This was very unusual.  You hardly ever saw young men away from the cities.
