| Guard Mission Educational Benefits Job Oppertunities The United States of America was founded by brave men and women who believed in the inalienable right to freedom. These Americans formed groups of citizen soldiers to protect and defend this right. The first militia groups claimed they would be ready at a minutes notice. These citizen soldiers soon became known as the famous Minutemen. The spirit of the Minutemen can be found in today's Missouri Army National Guard. This spirit can be heard when freedom calls, it can be seen as citizens transform into soldiers, and it is felt as the nation rests secure knowing the Guard will always be there. |
