Guitarrista cantor y compositor, Gustavo Montaño desarrolla un lenguaje popular latinoamericano. Intenta retratar la mezcla de razas fusionando el Teatro, el Audiovisual, el Cine, la Literatura, la Plástica, el Entretenimiento, el Humor y la Religiosidad. En su trabajo se pueden oír los sonidos de diversos géneros, resumiendo estilos pasados, presentes y proyectando melodías hacia las sonoridades del 3* Milenio. Nació en Caracas, Venezuela y desde muy temprano se vio influido por su abuelo, maestro de música y violinista, con quien a la edad de 7 años comienza su formación musical. En este trabajo se siente una fusión que encuentra en su desarrollo, una variedad de instrumentos que van desde el Arpa, la Mandolina, el Cuatro y las Maracas, hasta los instrumentos, estilos y posibilidades que ofrece la electricidad en los tiempos modernos, como sintetizadores de sonido y guitarras eléctricas mezclados con ritmos afro-latinos, Changa, Salsa, Charanga, Rock, Techno, Funk, Tamunangue, Latin Jazz, Drum and Bass, Disco-Music y muy especialmente uno al que ha llamado Jazz Estrellado - Starry Jazz, siendo un híbrido de Free-Jazz y Thechno. Dentro del género de Música Popular Latinoamericana ha representado la hispanidad en países como México, USA, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, entre otros. Es representado por empresas transnacionales como Top Hits, WEA, Comrock, Sonográfica, Fonotalento, Ciro Vega Editora, María Gómez Producciones. Colabora con fundaciones artísticas públicas y privadas, Galerías de Arte, Institutos de Arte, Ateneos, Fuerzas Armadas, Diarios de Venezuela, Consejos Nacionales y Oficiales. Es miembro activo de las sociedades de autores SACVEN y Fundación Luis Alfonzo Larrain y de asociaciones musicales venezolanas y extranjeras. Ha realizado estudios de Armonía y música con maestros de Berkeley College, cursó estudios de producción de programas de vídeo, participó en sesiones de grabación para Cine, donde interviene, en la música para varias películas venezolanas. Dentro de su actividad, cursó estudios en la Facultad de Humanidades, Escuela de Letras, Universidad Central de Venezuela, es miembro fundador de grupos de teatro, es locutor y ha ejercido una labor didáctica importante. Guitarist, composer and singer, Gustavo Montaño is an soli*ary artisan of the music that develops a language popular and folkloric Latin American, allowing to see and hear, the cultural influences that are manifested around the cosmos. He attempt to depict the phenomenon of the mixture of races fusing several artistic manifestations, like the Theater, the Movie, the Literature, the Paint, and the Entertainment whit the " Religiosity. In this work the sounds of diverse goods could be heard, abridging past styles, present and projecting melodies toward the sounds of the new millenium. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, from very early was seen influenced by he´s grandfather, teacher of music and violinist, with who to the age of 7 years old begin a musical formation. Feel the coalition of folklore and popular music, that find in their development, a variety of instruments that they go from the Harp, the Mandolin, the Cuatro and the Maracas, even the instruments, styles and possibilities that he offer the electricity in the modern times, like synthesizers of sound and electric guitars, mix whit Afro-Latin Rithms , Changa, Salsa, Charanga, Tamunangue, Látin Jazz, Drum and Bass, Techno, Rock, Funk, and Disco-Music, and very especially one to have called Starry Jazz, a hybrid of Free-Jazz and Thechno. He within the gender of popular Latin American music have represented the music in countries like Mexico, USA, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, and others. And represented for transnational companies like Top Hits, WEA, Comrock, Sonográfica, Fonotalento, Ciro Vega Editora, María Gómez Productions. He have been produced and have worked with artistic public and private cultural foundations, Art Gallery´s, Institutes of Arts, Ateneos, Armed Forces, National Institution. He is active member of the noted Societies of Authors " SACVEN " and Foundation Luis Alfonzo Larrain, of which is a consultant and of associations musical Venezuelans and foreigners. Have carried out studies of Harmony and music with teachers of Berkeley College, studies production of Videotape programs, participated in sessions of professional recording for SoundTracks Movies Music. Carried out proceeding for tv " Televisa " Mexican, and Venezuelan. Within their activity, studies in the Faculty of Humanity, School of Letters, Central University from Venezuela, is member and founder of groups of Theater, he is Radiospeaker and have exercised a work important teach.
