We are in need of a construction manager for our upcoming house in Red Wing. The construction manager is responsible for developing detailed construction schedules, managing the work site, explaining tasks, supervising volunteers, instructing homeowners, inspecting and assessing building sites, managing subcontractors, ordering materials, record keeping, and attending building committee meetings. The construction manager must be available every Saturday and one night a week until the house is completed. The position pays $3,000 per house. We are also seeking individuals to serve on our Public Relations, Fundrasing, and and Volunteer Committees. Individuals who are interested in the work of Habitat, but do not want to work on the building site are encouraged to take part in committee activities. The time commitment varies by committee, but can be a very rewarding experience to see the joy that a Habitat home brings to the partner families. If you are interested in a future Construction Manager position, volunteering on a committee, with office work or at the work site, please call our office at 651-388-9360 x 32. If no one is available, then please leave a message and we will get back to you. Help us eliminate substandard housing in our community! It's quick, easy and safe to support the house-building, hope-building work of Goodhue County HFH through Habitat for Humanity International's secure online donation system. You can even send a gift card announcing your donation in honor of a loved one or a special occasion. The Habitat for Humanity International web site contains more information on Habitat's history, mission, volunteer opportunities and contact information for other Habitat affiliates around the world. |
