shoes, was a carpenter, "spent more time away from home - Kate and Nell, 1963  
Moved to MO in 1855  Uncle Mitt said Housen was a wonderful debator and took a 
interest in community and international affairs - Kate and Nell, 1963
Notes:  Sold land in Callaway Co., MO on 10 Feb. 1879 and 31 Mar. 1880.
