EXPERIENCE:
Served as a Technical Support Engineer for Compaq-HP personal computer systems with Brigade Corporation, Chennai, India. [September 2002 – June 2003]
Responsibilities include analysis and troubleshooting of hardware/software based problems with the Windows based PCs.
EXTRACURRICULAR:
Member of IEEE and IE [Institute of Engineers].
Member of Amateur Radio Club.
PROJECTS:
Design and Synthesis of Internet Specific Processor, with in-built Modem and NIC using VLSI.
* The 64-bit processor was designed based on the architecture and design concepts of Intel 8085 and 8086 processors. It was integrated along with a Modem and NIC on a single
fabrication unit.
* The whole combination can be imagined as a System on Chip (SoC).
* The system functions as a standalone Internet browsing station (along with I/O devices).
* The design was carried out using Verilog and Synthesis using Leonardo Exemplar Logic.
[Under Graduate Senior year project]
Remote control of Home appliances using Frequency Modulation of DTMF tones.
* It is a prototype remote control/receiver unit, which can be used to control more than 100 electrical/electronic appliances in a home.
* The receiver unit needs to be integrated in the main electrical distribution center of the house and the handy remote control can be used to control all the electrical connections.
[Under Graduate sophomore year project]
Performed a Survey project on ‘Security issues concerning Computer Networks.’
Completed a Survey project on ‘Audio and Video over ATM.’
It was presented at ‘Genesis’ - National level technical symposium.
